Cheryl always goes the extra mile. I have a brother who in a longterm care facility because he has a traumatic brain injury. He has various appointments at the VA Hospital. The facility is willing to take him to his appointments and wait until his appoinment is complete. I cannot go because I live in a different state than my brother and work a 40+ hour workday.. So, I call Cheryl because she will (1) call the VA Hospital to confirm the appointment, (2) call the longterm care facility to make sure transportation has been arranged, (3) meet my brother at the hospital, (4) notify my father to meet her and my brother at the hospital, (5) sit in on the visit to help with communication, and (6) make arrangements for me to attend via Zoom. I sleep at night because I know I can count on Cheryl and Lifesmartconcepts!

Cheryl is simply incredible. Two years ago, Cheryl stepped in to help care for my grandma. My grandma had dementia for at least 12 years, and for the past two, Cheryl has been there to help care for her. My grandma caught COVID during the tail-end of the pandemic and refused to eat or drink anything--placing her in hospice. When Cheryl stepped in, my grandma did a complete 360 and would only eat or drink when Cheryl was around. My grandma was a fierce lady and loved being by herself. She wouldn't allow us to take her anywhere, but when Cheryl came into her life, Cheryl was able to get her to go to the movies and do activities I hadn't seen my grandma do in YEARS. Cheryl's presence is calming but inviting. Though Cheryl has been a family friend for decades, two years ago was when I met her. She's funny, caring, compassionate, and diligent. She will ensure your loved one is tentatively cared for--it doesn't matter the hour! Cheryl is there. I saw the love and care she had for my grandma. They became true friends. I cannot imagine what these past two years would have looked like without Cheryl in them. Anytime my grandma needed anything, Cheryl would never hesitate to pick whatever it was. She went above and beyond her duties as a caretaker to make sure my grandma was always cared for. My grandma passed away yesterday. The past few days have been challenging, yet Cheryl has made each day more manageable. She visited with my grandma in her last days and made sure she was comfortable as she transitioned to be with the Lord. Last night was extremely rough for my family and me. She passed away, and we were, of course, distraught, as you can imagine. Cheryl came after my family, and I left last night and packed up all of my grandma's things--taking another arduous task off our plates. There are not enough words to express my gratitude, gratefulness, and appreciation for Cheryl Pegues. If you or your family need a caretaker and want someone compassionate, diligent, and kindhearted, Cheryl is your girl! We could not have had an easier transition with my grandma if it weren't for her. Cheryl, thank you, thank you, thank you! For everything that you've done for us. Do NOT look for ANY other service first! Start right here with, Cheryl. I cannot express how deeply satisfied and overwhelmed I’ve been with this company. They check ALL of the boxes and some that they don’t even list! Please listen to me. I hired Cheryl almost 2 years ago to help me take care of my mom. She was in the latter stages of dementia. I had no real significant help from family for some very valid reasons and some not so valid but Cheryl showed up. My job situation changed and I had to start traveling too. So I could no longer visit my mom the 3 to 5x a week I used to for the past 12 years. But Cheryl stepped in. My mom wasn’t getting proper care at these facilities, some I knew about and was addressing, others, I didn’t know about and Cheryl was addressing. I got a HUGE education from her about adult care. We wound having to move my mother from one place because the care was so horrible. At any rate, flash forward, my mom passed away yesterday. So one might ask, how I could be out here writing a review today while dealing with that? Why? Because what Cheryl does matter THAT much to me and is THIS important to me! Because with ALL the pain and hurt that I am dealing with now, Cheryl, without asking, without a second, went back over to my mom’s place last night and packed EVERYTHING thing up and boxed and labeled it, ready for me to pick it up, whenever I get over there this week! Whew! Now you know why am sharing this review. She is one of these most dedicated, caring people I’ve interacted with in this industry. And her company and hope they operate, strongly reflect her values. This woman is an angel and her rates are very reasonable. Consider.
